Slope Architecture was founded by Kim Cattau in 2019 to provide architectural and design services to clientele in Colorado and beyond. Our design focus is to create beautiful and functional spaces that are enjoyable to inhabit. We are inspired by nature, and create custom designs that respect a unique environment and setting.
Team
Kim Cattau, AIA, NCARB
Principal Kim has been a licensed architect in Colorado since 2007, and is currently also licensed in Michigan and Wyoming. She obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, and has since been employed at various architecture firms in Chicago and Boulder, gaining experience in a wide variety of project types, including custom residential, multi-family residential, and commercial structures and interiors. She enjoys travel (especially road trips to national parks), camping, reading, hiking and spending time with her two energetic sons and dog.
Heidy Martinez, LEED GA, M. Arch
Project Designer Heidy graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Colorado Denver in 2020. Previously, she obtained a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from American InterContinental University Los Angeles and has worked on educational, commercial and residential renovation projects, including outdoor living spaces. She enjoys sketching, hiking, family fitness workouts, and helping her son train for soccer.
Process
Successful design starts with a study of the project context along with comprehensive client communication to create solutions that meet the needs of the end users, customized to daily needs while allowing flexibility for change over time. Relationships are built with clients to ensure the process of building or remodeling is enjoyable, while using our experience and industry resources to ensure each project is a success.
